Snowed In

For those who have not ventured out in this past week it is cold, so I have been snowed in myself. After catching up to all the paper work since I started teach school again, I have used my free time to draw and a little painting. I have done a little of everything, my mind has been scatter shooting so my drawing has been following suit.

Pietro da Cortona, was an Italian artist and architect of High Baroque. He is best known for painting fresco ceilings. This is my version of Head of an Angel his was ink on paper, mine is mix media Markers, ink, paint on paper. Cortona was known for is copies of Rapheal when he was young, Cortona was recognized among the top artists of his generation, and was elected director of the Academy of St Luke (Rome) during 1634-38.

Wolverine a superhero who appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Born as James Howlett and commonly known as Logan. I like him because he is 5 foot 5, yeah that is why I started liking him. He gets in fits of  "berserker rage" , protects the down trodden and he is the money maker for Marvel

This is a sunflower I made for my sister for Christmas, late of course... this very thick in paint and fun to do. A shout out for my sister, though she will probably won't read this, she is awesome and a hero of mine.
