More People I See and Mario
Mario done pencil and Copic Markers
Aysun just started to Ink her then she left
After Aysun left in the middle, I stayed with this one with pencil and it is easier to add and subtract(erase and layer)with a pencil, even when they leave. I worked on this one at home for 2.5 hours, FYI using pencil I am also able to stay with the same stroke. If I change to pen it is weighs a little heaver and feels different, not bad just different and of course no erasing with marker.
Tina never turned around Markers

The People I See
Being a regular at a Cafe' I gets some little perks, I get the couch to sit on the rest is chairs. a long coffee table to put my stuff, and a great hostess( she is actually great to everyone). I get a get place to people watch and draw they when they least suspect. I do get caught too, a couple guys from Turkey named Kuddis and Ozcan saw me spying then were happy that I was drawing them, it still didn't keep them still.
Speakin of which is probably the hardest thing about what i am doing most people don't keep still, it is really not thier job any way. I like doing this gecause they are naturally relaxing and being who they are. This has helped me get faster in my sketching, get the main gestures or body language then working from memory. A few times I get I steal a photo with my itouch and work a bit from that. This is from a couple days at the cafe'.
This is the view from where I sit on a comfy couch

Some Drawings I Missed Publishing
I still have I haven't showed I got my Mac not talking to me right now so photos from my iPhone I can't retreive.
Lady at the Copenhagen Airport
Statues at the Hamlet.
On our last day in Sweden, we drove up the coast to Helsingborg. We discovered that there was a castle across the water, in Denmark, called "The Hamlet", the inspiration of Shakespeare's play. It's origins date back to 1499.

More Stuff I have seen and drawn
Marker and Pencil
The only Viking dude in the US I know is Thor from Marvel Comics, I gave this to our swedish host Helena and Martin, who provide a traditional swedish faire I cannot pronounced but tasted great. They are fans of the Big Bang Theory so we saw 2 episodes.
I went to a malmo castle museum which had all kinds of things, an aquarium, a natural history museum, a prison museum, an armory, a Nelson Mandela retrospect, art museum etc. this drawing is from a photo I saw in the prison section, she one of the many executed in this prision she was killed for not being able to take care of her children. For some reason I was drawn to her eyes.

Drawing and painting Digitally
Anyway since I have not made any trips to draw i decided to draw in photoshop, so here is what I did it took about 4 hours to do, but I am well pleased with it. This was a icon I saw in Munich and I wanted it to be painterly like Vemeer, though he never work this genre. I have always enjoyed how he painted regular people and elevated them so the viewer would notice common people doing ordinary things. I know what Jesus did is not ordinary, please don't take it that way.

Time to Draw, Yahoo!!!!
I met the wait person yesterday when Marla and I went to eat lunch there. Karen suggested a Latte Machillo not bad, with toast and ham. I drew my breakfast Pencil and Copic marker, because most people came in quickly and were in and out in 5-10 minutes. Older group comes by to sit and converse a little later in the morning, Beer for breakfast is a new thing to see(wait old roomy John S. would do that often) I couldn't do it, but hey it is what it is. Then there was great old gentleman sit in front of me, he had so much character in his face, Karen told me it was Mr. Link. I didn't meet him, he was engaged with his friend. but I got to spend about an hour on him I did like result, pencil only.
Funny note in my limited german I know listening to old people here talk about their ailments and doctor appointments too.
I did work on a concept for a painting, picture for that is later.

My New Digs
I am on the 4th floor the one small window, small but nice.
The view from our street is of the Gerber platz (place), a little park with an interesting building covered in vines.
This is "der Marktplatz", like the city center. It's pretty cool to see mix of old and new buildings.
